New York Minute's trademark is versatility. From classic rock to R & B, blues, oldies, and popular music, shows are full of energy, strong harmonies, superior musicianship and fun. Band members are veteran performers of over 20 years. Billy Mitchell, (vocals, guitar, harp) and Pat Smith (vocals, rhythm) sang with the a capella group, The Hudsons: Andy Webb (vocal, bass) was formerly with Three Legged Horse, John Brough (Drums), David Furlong (lead Guitar, Vocals) and John Lombardi (Sax) have been playing decades.
Since 1995 the band has played venues like The Harbourside in East Greenwich, Okie's, South County Tavern and The Oak Hill Tavern in South County, The Narragansett Cafe in Jamestown, Christie's in Newport, Dick's Last Resort in Boston, even The House of Blues on Sunset Strip in L.A. Also commercials and many special events. Why New York Minute? The guys have day jobs: Mitchell’s in advertising, Smith’s in sales, Webb's a copywriter, Brough is a CPA, Lombardi runs a golf course and Furlong is in High Tech. All agree if they could do music full time and live in the manner in which they're accustomed, they’d do it in a New York Minute. NYM has released three CDs - ONLY TIME FOR ONE TAKE, GUMBO BEACH and LIVE AT THE NARRAGANSETT CAFE.
